About the Role
 

Areas of responsibility:

• Detailed design of solar PV Plant.

• Preparation of detailed plant BoQ and optimization.

• Preparation of Solar Plant array layout and optimization.

• DC, LT, and HT cable sizing as per the IEC code.

• Cable route layout and cable schedule.

• Cable trench sizing.

• PV yard earthing calculation and Design.

• Study of lightning protection requirements.

• Preparation of DC and AC SLD.

• Inverter sizing.

• Inverter transformer sizing.

• Sizing of all electrical equipment of the PV plant.

• Knowledge of SCDA communication protocol, applicable DI, Do’s, and IO list preparation.

• String sizing.

• Preferred to have hands-on experience on a PV case, Google SketchUp.

• Shadow analysis of solar PV plant.

• Should have the knowledge of power evacuation up to 220KV.

• Support Solar EPC business by Estimating, Planning, and Simulating Generating from a solar power plant.

• Facilitate the Tendering and BD group with vital Generation data.

• Knowledge & Understanding of Solar PV system design and system.

• Expert in simulation techniques from various tools like PVsyst, etc.

• Should be an expert in the operative PVsyst Simulation Software for generation prediction & estimation.

• Knowledge of International Engineering practices and norms.

• Should be helpful in Site Selection & Evacuation losses.
   

Competencies :

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Google Earth and other desired software like sketch up is an added advantage.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Education :

• B.E./B.Tech (Electrical)

Experience :

• 10-15 years of experience in designing in the Solar and Renewable industry.

• Must have worked on ground-mounted solar projects up to 1GW.
